Sequence Triggers are used to signal Torque when a certain frame in a sequence is reached. Trigger states can fire with either an "on" or "off" value at any frame in a sequence. Trigger states are numbered from 1 to 32. Some triggers states have a specific meaning in Torque, such as trigger states 1 and 2 which are used for left and right footpuffs in the player class. A programmer can add script callback hooks that trigger an action when a certain trigger state is fired during a dts animation.

Sequence Triggers are created by using a specially named Blender timeline marker. The marker name should contain "Trigger:" followed by the trigger number, such as "1", or "2" (sans quotes), followed by either ":on" or ":off"; for example "Trigger:1:on" or "Trigger:2:off". Trigger markers should be placed between the start and end frame markers for a sequence. Trigger markers that are placed outside of any defined sequence (frame range) are ignored.
